South Park gets its game on with the Stick of Truth, and it's as entertaining and irreverent as you'd expect.

South Park: The Stick of Truth gets stuck into it

Have you ever dreamt of entering the South Park universe on a quest to retrieve a relic and defeat a great and evil enemy? Of course you haven't, but 'South Park: The Stick of Truth' will put you in the South Park universe and you will get to retrieve a relic while fighting against great and evil enemies.

Fortunately Ubisoft have done an excellent job in producing a very fleshed out RPG in The Stick of Truth, with gamers taking control of 'The New Kid' in town known as 'Douchebag' and later, as you progress, 'Sir Douchebag'.

All your favourite characters are in the game, all with authentic, perfectly reproduced voices, leading any one entering the room to believe you're simply watching an episode of South Park, not playing a game.

As with any good RPG, character levelling, weapon purchases and item pick ups are all present. But what really makes the game enjoyable is the potty humor South Park is renowned for, not to mention the multiple send ups and references of other popular titles such as Skyrim and Lord of the Rings.

Combat is turned based, which works really well and suits the variety of attacks available. In addition to the turn based combat players are challenged to time their attacks and blocks to maximise their effect.

South Park, The Stick of Truth is available now on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC (with full controller support). If this sounds like a game (or TV show) for you, then check it out in the video below.
