Aye, SteamOS deffo has some challenges ahead of it, but Valve have money and talent, and you really need an organisation with resources championing a games platform for it to do well, be it Microsoft (DirectX), Apple, Google, the console platform holders or Valve. I'm dreaming of a day when I can leave Windows behind for SteamOS, but also don't want to lose photoshop, or access to my Steam catalogue either (backlogs aplenty there too

. It'll get there, but not until they can do it in a piece of hardware they can sell for $400-$500, to get the install base to get the sales to support the dev costs. Will be great when they do
