It all started on a fine Winter afternoon in August. My cousin and I saw that JB Hi-Fi were taking minimum deposits of $10 for next gen consoles and thus, we went in to put on a deposit.

We both went in at the same time and we both put the minimum of $10 on the PS4 console plus we ordered a few games like COD Ghosts Hardened edition. All good and well... Or so we thought.

About a month later my cousin and I went back in to put more money on the deposit. We both knew we weren't guaranteed a day 1 release but we were on the short list if they decided to purchase more consoles. to put it easier, we were essentially in the "maybe" pile of PS4 day 1 release but we still stuck to our guns and went to put more money on the console.

My cousin went first and his went smoothly, then it was my turn. The person who originally put my pre-order on put my deposit through as a PS4 CONSOLE STAND and I didn't have a pre-order for the actual console itself. They told me I would still be on the short list but they can't make guarantee's and I would have to wait. ALSO my COD Ghosts copy wasn't put through as a hardened edition and in turn, I had missed out on the Hardened edition as they sold out........Wasn't happy

Yesterday rolls around and my cousin shows me a text message showing that he would be able to pick up his console day 1.. I was a little shocked as we both completely paid off our consoles so why wouldn't I have the same message? I decided to call and check. A strapping young lad by the name of Adam answered and was a little shocked by the stuff up his staff had made and would check to see if he could have a console for me on day 1. So I waited... and waited... and waited.

I told him my sob story and he told me he would call me back. An hour or so later I received a call for A GUARANTEED DAY 1 RELEASE FOR A PS4 CONSOLE..

I jumped for joy, kissed my girlfriend on the forehead and ate some noodles.

Great outcome if you ask me.

Are you still stuck with a standard edition of Ghosts?
