Might be a socialclub issue with having multiple invites active (if a few of us sent them round the same time) or related to your account not going through the full email verification . . . nfi really.

I saw you sitting in the crew management area as a pending invite this morning, but your not there now, and same as Ati, can't reinvite ye.

Definitely an issue, as we have no pending request

Dropped into reply to friend invite today and crew requests were there, accepted them, and it all worked .  Maybe servers were creaking under launch load, and normal service has since resumed?  Anyways, you can kick me now if you want .

Access to Grand Theft Auto Online is free with your copy of Grand Theft Auto V. On October 1st there will be a small downloadable Title Update released on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. Upon installation of that Title Update, direct access to begin GTA Online will be unlocked in your GTAV game menu. You will be able to jump right into GTA Online via the 4th (bottom) slot in your GTAV character wheel. We’ve received many questions asking for a specific confirmation of what exact time GTA Online will be available but of course this is contingent on both Title Updates becoming available on each console’s network. As a general timeframe, we do expect the Title Update to become available on PSN and Xbox LIVE starting around 9PM Eastern Australian time this evening (1st October) , and your best bet is to stay tuned throughout the day here at the Rockstar Newswire and by following us on Twitter and Facebook where we will be keeping everyone updated.

Conspiracy Theory: The US have all non essential government workers having a days leave with no pay so Obama can have a day to play GTA5 online. Do you think Rockstar factored in almost 1 million workers getting the day off and how many of them will be on GTA5?

saints nailed it. GTA5 cloud (ipear) went pear shape last night, can't even log on at all.

Yep it had some nasty issues, starting with the patch not downloading correctly and the online services being screwed.

Expect a few days of issues

"Due to “unanticipated additional pressure on the servers due to a significantly higher number of players [than expected]", Rockstar has warned that play might be “temperamental” for the first few days. “We are working around the clock to buy and add more servers,” said the game’s developers in a blog post."

So they made their $250b back from pre orders alone, yet expected alot less for the online aspect... Oh dear god lol

Esp after Diablo 3, you would think companies might do some level of load testing.  

I tend to suspect they new well in advance, hence splitting the release so that the fact online isnt working didnt effect the opinions and reviews of the SP
