A random idea, inspired in part by MG's multi-CoD comp.  The idea being that we run a comp with multiple games, some solo, some team, across multiple platforms if the interest was there, dividing people up by State/Territory/Island (in NZ), awarding golds, silver and bronzes, and letting as many compete in each event as appropriate (with heats if there are a lot of entrants, as per the Olympics).  Would be a next year thing probably (would take a while to organise and set up), but could be fun, and enable folk to compete and get involved easily (in solo events) but also allow teams to really get fired up and into it.

    I took part in the first series of this over on the OPSF, haven't really made that much of an effort the take part in the 2nd series, other stuff and all that. Its the ANZ forum vs the EN one and its just been all offline games but it has worked fairly well, some games have been quite closely contested others not so much.

    I am guessing you would want this to be more online of course but I would be up for it if I had any of the games.

    We're probably going to try something in the new year, probably on next gen (or a mixture of both), we normally don't plan a lot in December, lots of other real-life things going on ;).

    sounds good. Im not getting next gen for a while though :( so hopefully i should be able to play some ps3 ones.

    There's no reason we can't have different platforms in each State/Island, don't you worry about that :D.  By all means throw any ideas you have down now in the thread as well, we'll look into it in more detail next year :D.
