... apparently has a MP mode, and is out soon.  I don't think it's worth looking into with what else is on offer, _but_ I've never been a resi fan, so I might just be being blinkered.  Is there potential here for anything?

co-op on the past editions has worked pretty well, never tried the versus mode, wasn't it dlc in R5 though ?

Mighta been, never got around to playing it, but according to GI there's comp in Resi 6 (as well as coop).

All good OC .  Not saying I don't like it, just never got around to playing it.  Didn't mind the Resi 5 demo, but there's just so many games out there these days.  You grabbin' Resi 6?  It sounds like it's going to be a pretty good package .

as resident evil's game mechanics improved, so it's storyline became sh!tter & sh!tter imo.  old biohazards > new for that reason.

Havn't tried the RE5 MP Axe.
I always hammered the shit out of Co-op and Solo in the earlier games, can't wait for it and will have a look at MP but I would be surprised if it worked well.

Sometimes I feel good SP games add MP just to try get more people to buy it whilst they put no effort into it

This - good SP games stand on their own and sell well on their own, and often review worse if the MP is rubbish.  You never know though - this thread was more just to test the feed on the Events page, but you never know, Capcom might get their act together and if they do, OC will be able to tell us about it .

i like CoD, but that doesn't mean my opinion, my own 'personal' opinion, is of any less value than someone else.  fact is i play & enjoy a lot of games, i only hammer cod as i compete on it.  for me, the old resi games had better story lines than the new games.  just look at operation raccoon city on metacritic, 50 points lol, must be a solid game that one, sure it's a spin-off, but that's how the newer resi games have gone, more action & less suspense which is what made the series imo.

RE4 on the GameCube is still the best one. That's more the action style rather than the suspense/scares of the earlier games. Didn't care too much for RE5 but it was okay though. Have played all RE's except handheld and spin-offs. Even played Code Veronica on Dreamcast and RE0 on GameCube.

RE2 is the best of all I reckon, maybe only for the nostalgia factor for me but it will always be number 1, followed by RE4.

Gonna have to play this a bit more but it feels totally different to any other Resi I've played.
Feels more like an uncharted or god of war in terms of quick time buttons, fast paced, close camera and how fast it is
Dunno yet if I like it or not
