Same here axe. Might be a goer with the videos man, Steves running VDSL now and reckons he can live stream games. So might be handy for some of the finals

    Mattskeez,

I am clearly new to this whole side of online gaming but is there a good reason why this can't all be sorted in a matter of weeks, as in two or three, instead of months because in all honesty this is dragging somin' ridiculous to the point of absolute boredom.
Another point I would like to make is why the hell did you end up making the rule set and game play settings and also draw to fit yours truly, meaning NzAs, as in you guys are scared or afraid of challenging CF3W or 4ged in the earlier rounds of this actual tournament.
And on a final note I would like to say that we were invited into this actual tournament by yours truly with the intention that the majority of the rule set would be championship league play and we have failed, that's an EPIC FAIL on your part,  to grasp the actual part of this tournament that has any resemblance to that of the actual game play or rule set or pro circuit set that you had led us to believe.
Now, I appreciate the time that you have put into/not put into this supposed great Hard Core, 75% health, 6v6, Search and Destroy tournament but it simply fails in all aspects of competitive play from the lack of pride in wanting to remain alive because you failed to include scorestreaks all the way down to the lack of Call of Duty etiquette for those who take the time to save money in order to purchase a piece of equipment, albeit legal, in order to play the game to the best of their ability with their highly sensitive "sound whoring" headset.

Mattskeez and I have recently had a chat about all this and I personally appreciate all the work he has done and I would like to say at this point I will no longer be participating in this tournament or any other provided by Good Game.

    Kind Regards,

You can't really say that when you've never played in an actual tournament or even been involved in one .....

Just a word of advice, Karma. How about next time when you're signing up for a tournament you actually read the rules prior to committing a team to it and wasting the time of all involved to re-schedule everything. If you want league rules, go play league play.

Not to be nasty, though it does seem like you're still holding a grudge against us from when we beat you, all 3 games, and on your terms as well. Just saying.

    Anyway, all the best

All details were sent to CHUR before you enrolled as he stepped up as leader because you were inactive at the time. Your clan have every chance to read the full rule set and game layout before you put your names down. The fact that you've chosen to do so 3 days into the tournament launch instead of just under 2 weeks ago when your clan was enrolled really isn't my problem.

As for the ruleset suiting NzAs. That is just ridiculous. My clans strongest game types are 6v6 Dom and 6v6 HQ/HP. HC S & D is in no way a strong point for us. As Shaun said above ^^^^ "if you had any experience playing competitive against us you would know this.

As for the draw. No match ups were fixed. The thought of not wanting to play CF3W in the first rounds is a joke. We are in no way intimidated by CF3W or any teams in the tournament. We don't really care who we play. The best team will win on the day. I don't mean to be rude but your clan honestly just doesn't suit competitive. You want every competitive match to be your rules and the way you like. I hate to break it to you but if you enrol in preset tournaments, that's never gonna happen. If this game type and ruleset doesn't suit you as a player then fair enough. But your clan knew what they signed up for the minute they said they were interested.

Really it just comes across to me that you have a personal issue with me no matter how this tournament was layed out, you would have had complaints with me being the tournament organiser.

As for the round robin that goes on for 9 weeks - welcome to GG buddy. It's fair, fun and gives a chance for all the teams to play each other. Rather than the annoying ladder set ups on other sites where lower teams can never play the top teams.

I'm sorry it's not for you karma. But with your very limited experience in competitive gaming and absence as leader in your clans competitive side in the past. You don't really have the right to criticise a tournaments lay out. All rules etc etc were discussed by the higher admins and members of GG and other clan leaders. All rules were discussed and changed by everyone's input.

Reading your post again karma. Referring to us as being scared. Would you like to read your post again lol. Everything you said referring to the draw screams fear. We will play  cfew first if you want. I don't really care. It's a round robin so everyone plays each other. There fore there's really no advantage to not playing teams early on. And considering the draw was completely random.....

It's pretty clear you're new to online gaming.  Some comps have two rounds a week, many have one.  If you have a decent number of teams, comps go for 2-3 months.  It's been this way on PlayStation since SOCOM came out on the PS2.  The particularly competitive comps tend to have more rounds than less.  There are all sorts of comps and tourneys of course, and there are some shorter ones run from time-to-time, but Matt's structure for this comp has been _very_ standard.  If it's not your thing, then online competitive gaming may not be for you, or you need to search out the shorter forms of competition.

The ruleset was open for discussion for all parties for weeks before the comp launched.  Signing up then complaining about the ruleset in the first round of the comp after not being a part of the ruleset discussion is poor form.  The way you've approached it is very poor form - if you make a mistake, man up and apologise for it, don't try and deflect with childish accusations.

Apologies for being short, a bit crook today, but in short, a little forethought (like reading the ruleset) before signing yourself up for a competition is a good thing to do in the future.

hiya chaos, ignore axe as he's a fool & mostly ignore mattskeez as he's from NZ & nothing in NZ matters.

i've just had a look over the rule set & the draw to see if i can see anything dodgy (as we'll have none of that here) & i'm satisfied it's all above board with no bias to that sh!t nzas clan.

from best i can tell there was an extensive discussion regarding the rule set prior to it going live, where opinions were shared with some taken on board & others not (can't please all unfortunately, but compromises were made).  the rule set heralds to something i'm more akin to from my competitive cod days on MW2, BO1 & MW3, where about 2 dozen rounds of search were played with a very strip downed rule set, where guns & strategy would determine the winner, instead of stupid flying things & overly powerful & too easy to use guns/perks/equipment (as is the case in BO2 leagues).

that type of rule set itself heralds back to promod on CoD4, which itself came from counter strike.  promod is still likely considered the most competitive rule set with CoD4 still likely considered the most competitive call of duty (mind you i've been out of touch for a good 3 months now).

regarding the draw that also looks very straight forward & non-bias, with every team playing each other once in a round-robin (so mattskeez as he no doubt wants can't hide from the good teams).

maybe you should give the rule set a bit of a shot before passing it off completely.  i'm sure it'd be far more difficult & therefore more rewarding when you win than anything else you've ever played.  you don't have to even try it in the tournament as there's bound to be someone willing to have a friendly with you just for a bit of fun.

if you have some time to kill check out some of the videos in this playlist:

    http://www.youtube.c...A949F3EB672B359

they're 'magicmod' battles, which are pretty much snd clan wars using a rule set very close to this (but on MW2/BO1/MW3).

ps. it's axe's b'day tomorrow so here's hoping he gets all naked & sh!t with his mrs xD
