I have a turtle Beach PX21

It use to go great guns with game sound and Communication in game. Ive gone through all my settings and tested it on the XMB and the Mic works, yet when I go in game it does not register the Mic at all, I can hear people but i have a feeling that is just the in game sound aswell as it is not clear.

The headset works cos I use it on Skype all the time and have no issues, Has anyone had this happen. I have checked and double checked my accessoris settings and wires its all where it should be.

I do not want to buy a new headset cos I am waiting on PS4 b4 I grab a new one but I have a feeling ppl get annoyed with silent players.

Edit: Just incase I have only been trying to use it in Borderlands 2 I have not been online in any other game with friends. I will not talk in a Public game so never really use it outside of friends in co op or SPT games

I'm a little tea pot Bloody and cut, here is my handle and here is my Butt

That's beyond me - if it works on the XMB you think it'd work in-game, and I've never had anything do otherwise.  Happy to test some other games if you see me around :).

Hmm, have you tried registering it in the devices tab on xmb?
Like axe i wouldn't have a clue, perhaps just double check all the basic options for it? Maybe somethings been ticked off :/

Next time we have GoW going Ill will test it, I was using them last time we played it with Rocket, Making me think it could just be borderlands for some reason.

There is no settings in BL2 is there.

No expert but others have had this issue:

"First check to make sure your mic is turned on. Yes I know, just humor me.
If is is, go into XMB to Settings>Accessory Settings>Audio Device Settings. Make sure you Output and Input are set to Turtle Beach."

"make sure your mic is turned up in the audio setting of the PS3 i put mine on like 4 or 5"

"and make sure your not accidently hitting the mute button on the PX21 controller. oh and there is a mic boost feature on the PX controller, i beleive."

"if you have a ps3 camera then unplug it and restart the system. So unplug all other USB devices and test"

can you see the volume bar in the mic settings menu light as you test it ?  i know in borderlands 1 i couldn't get my mic to work in games which included a player with closed ports etc, i'm sure my voice would go out, but they wouldn't receive/hear it.

Another known issue with mics not working was when you use controller 2 and not controller 1, or having multiple PS3's behind a NAT 2 router?

I can see why the last one would be an issue, but cant see why the controller port/number would be.
