Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

And now for the post that's also a news blog post - formal news post starts now

Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, is set to hit the PSN on May the 1st, and while the mechanics remain the same (you'll still be capturing outposts, shooting bad guys and hunting animals - the Blood Dragons for which the game is named), the setting is radically different.  Take it from Ubisoft:

This sounds seven shades of cool. and a great, creative way to build on the idea of Far Cry 3.  The gameplay will be straight out of Far Cry 3, but the setting and vibe (and I suspect some of the weapons) will be quite different!  Looking forward to this one .

So retro, so 80's, I'm lovin' it. And the humour is great.

Developers should take note of this (as well as Rockstar's 'Undead Nightmare')  This is what DLC should be.

Just had a chance to watch that IGN demo. Love how it doesn't take itself seriously at all but still looks so awesome, haha.

Really good to see DLC thats not part of the full game being taken out and sold back to you later, or DLC being sold as a separate release (silly riptide!)

It is a separate release though.

And its looking like about a $15 purchase PSN distribution, without any details for PLUS discounts etc.

So wont matter if you traded it in at all.

Brand name recognition most likely and it's running on the same engine.

Dang, sorry Spectre, not trying to take away from that - your steam sale updates are most excellent (but why aren't you highlighting the 50% off farming simulator?! ) .  It's deffo the first quadruple post in the space of half an hour though!
