another thread i'm shocked we don't have.

so to check your connection speed go to: www.speedtest.net

ideally you won't have any other devices using the internet while you run the check.  after it's finished post the result it gave you.

here's mine to adelaide today, using my laptop one wireless with 75% connection:

i always find cable bad for gaming.  seems to lag like hell.

that's actually a really good connection for hosting CoD4, big upload with moderate download.

enabled UnPn or whatever in my modem & restarted it, bit better result now & online gaming is playable again:

lol Close Batty. I do have a Finnish background - not German though. The problem is I'm an Aussie not a Kiwi, I reside in Sydney. I'm also sitting in my home/office typing this message... not from a jail cell haha... and why the fuck would he be designing/visiting a gaming site and also working on unrelated stuff with one of the other minds behind the show (Outlaw - who is a Kiwi btw - link perhaps)? Good observation though. I'll tell you a 'dirty' little secret (*whispers into ear* just between you and me) - I've always fantasised of being a convicted criminal. haha.

Meh - mine is actually Tb/s - it's just that Speed Test doesn't support the 'T' yet so I ended up with an 'M'.

yeah it is slow for a large network indeed, but just posted it to compare with people's personal ISPs that and the uni blocks all kinds of games  - stupid learning institute

This seems a smidgeon better than last time I tried - DL's fine (most stuff I download is limited by the upload speed of where it's coming from - clearly I'm not downloading enough from UTS ), wouldn't mind a bit more upload though.
