E3 2013: Playstation 4 To Launch With 500GB Hard Drive At $549 In Australia

Following the reveal of the Playstation 4 today at E3, Sony has released a fact sheet detailing the little details about their next console.

One of the questions that many gamers had was about the system's built in hard drive and its size. The fact sheet states the PS4 will ship with a built in, 500GB hard drive and since Sony has made no mention of mandatory game installs, similar to what Microsoft will be forcing Xbox One owners to do, it should be more than enough space.

Sony have also confirmed that the console itself will launch in Australia at a price of $549, quite a large jump over the $399 price tag it will launch with in the US. Price gouging is nothing new in Australia however, so I am sure we are all used to it by now.

It's also been confirmed that the HDD will be user changeable, just like the current PlayStation 3's HDD.
