PS Vita PS Vita Software Update PS Vita Update
The PlayStation Vita is set to receive a new system software update today, which should only take a few minutes to download and install. Having steadily proven itself to be an extremely reliable, brilliant and highly functional portable gaming device to use and play with, the version 2.10 update will enhance and improve many of the features and applications that many Vita owners have come to love about the handheld gaming console.

Firstly, the good people from SCEE and the PlayStation Blog team have revealed that the update will finally allow users to create folders on the home screen to store various apps, games and other software that may otherwise have been cluttering up the pages on your PlayStation Vita. This ultra convenient and neat solution will enable up to ten icons to be stored in each folder bubble on your Vita screen, which definitely comes in handy if you've downloaded a seemingly endless stream of games and apps onto your Vita .

Meanwhile, the PlayStation Vita will also be able to support video playback for its internet browser with this update, meaning that you can watch many of your favourite videos via the internet for as often as you like.

The Group Messaging feature will also be enhanced to enable players to select and send messages to multiple friends on the PlayStation®Network simply by selecting them from your Friends list - much like the group messaging feature on the PlayStation 3.

In addition to these features, the version 2.10 software update will also include other enhancements to the Vita such as:
  • Email – add multiple addresses per contact and display HTML messages
  • Photos – zoom-in in HD
  • Sound – auto mute
  • Email – search message body
  • PlayStation Plus – upload Game Saves via a 3G network connection

This is looking to be a very welcome and much appreciated update for the PlayStation Vita, and we can be sure that Sony will be looking to improve and enhance even more of its features in its bright future.

And for a basic guide to what and how to access many of the features from your PlayStation Vita, have a look at the PlayStation basic User's Guide to get the best experience and the most out of your system :D.
