Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - 'Uprising' DLC Pack

Activision have officially announced the details of second Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map pack, "Uprising". Featuring four brand new Multiplayer maps (including a re-imagining of the classic and fan-favourite "Firing Range" from the original Black Ops) as well as a new Zombie adventure with many twists on the traditional undead-killing gameplay we all know and love, the "Uprising" DLC map pack is first set to release on the April 16th for the Xbox 360 and then approximately 30 days later for the PC and PlayStation 3.

"Take a behind-the-scenes look at "Uprising," the second DLC Map Pack available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Uprising includes four new Multiplayer maps (Magma, Encore, Vertigo, and Studio, a reimagining of the classic map Firing Range), as well as the frightening new Zombies adventure, "Mob of the Dead.""

Magma - Lava carving through a modern Japanese village leaves rivers of fiery damage in its wake, providing players with dangerous terrain, compromised cover, and frenetic firefights for survival.

Encore - Multiplayer gameplay picks up after the concert has ended in Encore. Following a bustling London music festival, the central stage provides players with a key vantage point that overlooks the surrounding areas of the amphitheater and its main tents.

Vertigo - High above the clouds atop a mega skyscraper in India, players must battle across a VTOL landing pad and through the transportation terminal, bringing new dimensions of verticality to every battle.

Studio - The Call of Duty: Black Ops fan-favorite, Firing Range has been re-imagined as a Hollywood backlot, allowing players to take cover in a wide variety of classic movie sets ranging from Sci-Fi to the Old West.



Mob of the Dead (Zombies Map) - Following tradition of the original Call of Duty: Black Ops fan-favorite Zombies mode “Call of the Dead,” Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising’s wildly creative new “Mob of the Dead” Zombies experience finds the four prohibition-era mobsters, Billy Handsome (Liotta), Al “The Weasel” Arlington (Pantoliano), Salvatore “Sal” DeLuca (Palmentiri), and Michael “Finn” O’Leary (Madsen) serving time in Alcatraz Prison, only to discover that being behind bars is the least of their problems.

With plans to break out of Alcatraz foiled by the rise of the undead, the quartet of inmates will have to lean on their mob-derived skills with firearms, blunt instruments and improvised weaponry as they battle the zombies infesting and overrunning the island. In order to survive, players must work their way through the steel cells and aging concrete buildings while fighting off a multitude of zombified prisoners and guards trapped on the island with them.

Additionally, if a player becomes an unfortunate victim, “Mob of the Dead’s” new feature known as “Purgatory” sends players into the afterlife. This new twist on Zombies gameplay is ripe with its own set of objectives, and offers fans a truly new and unique experience.



The 'Uprising' DLC Pack will be included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass if you have already purchased it, or you can choose to buy the standalone DLC Pack when it is released.
