The Game Developers Conference (GDC) for 2013 is currently underway. As the world's largest and longest-running professionals-only game industry event, programmers, artists, producers, game designers, audio professionals, business decision-makers and others involved in the development of interactive games gather at the GDC to exchange ideas and shape the future of the industry.
As well as this, the GDC expo showcases all of the most relevant game development tools, platforms and services helping to drive the industry forward, and so far, Sony PlayStation have announced a huge range of new and exciting game titles from independent developers coming across all PlayStation platforms both present and future.
Adam Boyes, the Vice President of SCEA Publisher and Developer Relations, has said in the PlayStation Blog:
"During this year’s Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, our team has put a strong focus on independent game developers. This evening, we collaborated with the PlayStation Network team to host a PlayStation Indie Arcade event, where we gave hands-on demos for more than 25 indie games that are coming to all PlayStation platforms. Our goal is to continue to work with the independent developer community to provide fantastic games you can’t find anywhere else".
